日本に行きます★Going to Japan

It's finally booked! I am going to Japan!
I will be in Tokyo and Osaka between Nov 3rd and the 17th ヾ(｡´┏з┓`)ﾉ
I know it's a while to go, but damn, I am excited!
and there is still so much to plan, my mind is a total whirlwind

I took the picture above during my visit in 2009
and only just noticed that it is Kappabashi street, famous for plastic food!
If only I had crossed the street, I could have some plastic ramen haha

I literally cannot spend a single penny until I get there now
So any shopping hauls you see in the near future were purchased before the flights hah

Fire Alchemy ring, the latest addition to my little Bloody Mary Metal collection

I first mentioned BMM on my blog all the way back in August 2012 (time sure does fly!)
At that time, designer and metal babe Lucy was just upgrading from Esty to her own Website
and since then so much more has happened!

BMM has raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer support via the Hope&Anchor necklace
They have begun to sell via ASOS, and not part of the market place, as a full fledged brand!
Their ability to make custom jewelry also took a turn with their first bespoke engagement rings ♥

BMM has huge support from the Tattoo Community and recently debuted new pieces in Brighton
This includes their first line of rings just for men, more teeth and even tentacles
It's pretty safe to say I am excited and I love to see her brand grow

Lucy of BMM is proof of hard work paying off and is a huge inspiration to me for that

NEW TOYS

Say hello to my new baby ♥
I was way over due a new camera, I got my previous one 5-6 years ago
It was a 7mp flash beast (it was brighter than the sun!) and it was getting frustrating

Technology has come so far and it was time for me to catch up!
If my cameras were phones, it would be like upgrading from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 5
That's how outdated my old camera was haha ﾟ(｡ﾉωヽ｡)ﾟ｡━━ｫ!!

Oh hello hand reflection
There's a lot of irony in buying a new camera and not being able to use it to photograph the new camera...

So I got a 7" Samsung Tab3 with my camera in some special offer/deal
But I'm not really a tablet user so it's been adopted by my Dad
It also came with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and it is way too complicated for me haha

I'm looking forward to blogging with my new camera, it's really boosted my confidence (●･ω･●)

Special shout to Bloomzy because I totally copied her camera hehe

Dr Martens UK are hosting a "Design a boot" contest over on their Facebook page
and I thought I would share my entries, I would kill for galaxy docs!!

I wonder if they understand the irony in my blood spatter boots?
It's a bit of a play on their history from the good side of skinhead to the bad
Flipping the negatives and making it into a playful fashion ♥

My favourite shoe is probably the Lana, they look so funky
I also like the Bonnie but I find that style of boot so hard to pull off!

W♥C

Woah, my last W♥C gets post was all the way back in September 2012!
You may have been wondering what happened?
Well the store changed a lot, Chinatsu left and it all got very boring
So the brand was no longer what it used to be and so I stopped shopping there

So what are all these gets?
Well, my shipping service has been amazingly patient with me and has held these goods for me
These are all items that were sold to celebrate the opening of the flagship store
in Shibuya, all the way back in October 2012! 



 I got some pouches, underwear and a phone case
The case has googly eyes, it's so funny!

 Cookies, stickers and yes... water!
I can't help but laugh at myself, did I really buy W♥C labelled water?! Hahaha
and damn those cookies, they're so cute I want to keep them forever
But they will go bad some day right? They're already like 2 years old... are they edible?! lol

I also love the Kumatan x Hachiko stickers, so adorable ♥

 The main items had to be this Leopard print tracksuit (it has a tail!)
and a Kumatan plush, he looks so cute in his pink overalls 

 The main items all came in a special Tote Bag
It's quite large so will come in handy for trips and shopping

Because all these items came in the form of luck bags
I have ended up with 2 spare Kumatan cases haha, I don't know what to do with them!


Even with all the changes W♥C will always hold a special place in my heart
Chinatsu has held onto Kumatan as her own brand item and appears to be doing her best
to re-open the W♥C we all used to know and love in Harajuku
(it's a little confusing for there to be 2 stores/brands!)

I have my fingers crossed that W♥C will return to it's former glory by the time I visit Tokyo!

SWIMMER

 I bought a hard case for my 3DS from Swimmer ♥
Swimmer is a ridiculously cute brand in Japan, and their electronic cases usually sell out fast
So when I saw this case I knew I had to act fast if I wanted it!


It's a simple "clip on" style case for the Nintendo 3DS XL
I am so grateful that it comes in 2 pieces, I really hate the cases that have a chunky hinge on them

It's really simple to apply and remove 

 Plus it's the cutest damn case EVER!!

I thought the pastels would really suit my light pink console ♥
and believe it or not, finding a cute 3DS case is actually rather difficult
So to find one this cute and from one of my favourite brands, it's just a match made in heaven!

I actually got a few things from Swimmer recently, but this ended up with it's own post
I will be sure to show you the rest of the goodies soon~

UK CUSTOM PLUGS

I wanted to show you guys my collection of plugs from UK Custom Plugs
Above is the cute box where I store my collection


These plugs are what I wear in my stretched ears, my right ear I've had stretched since I was 13
and my left ear I started to stretch last year (and it is being a bitch by stretching very slowly!)
So a lot of these plugs are in pairs in anticipation of when my left ear catches up
But until then I can only wear one of them in my right ear

Lots of traditional tattoo styles here which were design by a local tattoo artist
I really hope UKCP collaborates with more artists in the future, it has so much potential!

The purple All Seeing Eye plugs were limited edition and the Stained Glass plugs I won
They were from a giveaway to celebrate the opening of their Plug Customiser tool
Savvy spotters may have noticed the image is from Black Milks Cathedral leggings!

 Some cuter styles on coloured flare plugs, a few of these were special designs for Halloween
I bought a lot of my plugs around this time after winning a coupon for 50% off my order

 UKCP offer a wide range of wooden plugs with beautiful designs
Sadly a lot of these can't be applied to my baby plug size of 12mm (half an inch)
The bottom pair are another custom item I had made that say "Thug Wife" haha

Here is how they look whilst worn
I always said 12mm would be my goal size
but I keep being tempted to go up to 24mm or 30mm, eek!

I was casually browsing the Etsy store I'm your present
when I was suddenly hit with the inspiration to make a wish list
Boy was it a toughie, the store is literally full of awesomeness and more

These adorable applique tops caught my eye straight away
I especially love the little details on the cats eyes, it makes them that little bit more creepy

Can I take a moment to say I love this models hair cut ♪

I'm not usually a fan of collar clips, but I may have finally been converted!
The OMG clips are currently sold out but I hope they will make a comeback some day
I wonder if the earrings could be transformed into plugs? I've been hunting for Poodle cameos for years!
and of course I love the tooth necklace, teeth are cute  ♥

Of course I love their phone cases too, I bought a cute bat case from the store for my friend at Xmas
I'm loving these new pastel designs, they are really unique and very eye catching 
In the UK we call Fanny Pack's "Bum Bags"... how did they get such a silly name?
Anyway, I'm always saying how I need one to carry my 3DS consoles around on dog walks
and now I know there are ridiculously cute ones out there (with teeth charms too) I am so tempted...

I have a feeling many of you will already be aware of this store

STARRY EYED

 Starry Eyed Bowtique recently introduced make up bags to their ever growing collection
and I could not resist the Drippy Eye and Bowtie T-rex prints (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

However, I won't be using these babies for make. Oh no, these are my new 3DS Carry Cases!

 You can see the case is a little bit bigger than the 3DS Console itself
But this isn't a problem and it comes in handy if you want to carry extra accessories or games with you
There is also a little pocket inside for extra storage (great for loose game cartridges!)

I've been on the look out for a cool and stylish 3DS case for a long time now
and I am so glad my search has finally come to an end!

The Cases are $15 each and lovingly hand made in Canada ♥
The quality is amazing, so professional! I can't recommend these enough

TALES OF THE BLACK FREIGHTER

Did you know my favourite comic is Watchmen?
Did you know that inside Watchmen exists another comic?

The nerd inside me burst with excitement when Black Milk released a T-shirt
with an awesome print from this comic, Tales of the Black Freighter ★

Seeing Black Milk with their officially licenced tags makes me feel like a proud mama
They've come so far in the past couple of years and I am so happy for them!

PRIMARK HAUL

So, I don't always shop online with Japanese brands or wear 100% Black Milk lol
Sometimes I shop locally too! 

Which for anyone in the UK usually means a visit to good ol' Primark
and when I got home I was like "oh yeah... I'm a blogger, let's blog this shit!"

I decided I needed a good but plain backpack for days when I have too much stuff to carry
It's suuuuper soft and I like the clasp shut too, better than fiddly buckles!


Is this print a cow or a giraffe?
Either way I liked the simple design of this T-shirt

There was a whole rack of crazy fruit items, so I couldn't resist at least one
The more I look at it, the more I see haha

Everyone loves Pugs right? Look at their derpy tongues

Some Star Wars from the Mens Department
Never leave Primark without checking out the Mens T-shirts!
Theres always a hidden gem, especially if you're in to geeky things 

and finally...
Lounge pants!
I actually just live in lounge wear most of the time
I find it's pretty wasteful to wear fancy clothes if you're staying indoors
Plus I've always had fluffy animals in my house and it keeps your best pants from getting furry haha

It was nice to have a successful trip to Primark too
A lot of the time they don't have my size or I just can't find anything good
I always see other bloggers posting cool Primark hauls and I never find the items in store
So, yippee for a good haul and for it to be super cheap too ♥

TOMODACHI LIFE

Tomodachi Life for Nintendo 3DS●

As you may be able to tell, I am a bit of a Nintendo nerd
When I was 18 I worked in a GameStation store and I was the go-to employee for all things Nintendo!
So when Nintendo UK approached me to review the upcoming game Tomodachi Life
Well, it was a total "Senpai noticed me" moment!

Tomodachi Life is a Life Simulation game for the 3DS console
It was originally released in Japan last year under the name Tomodachi Collection
and was a HUGE success within it's first week
Western audiences started to learn about this wacky game and thankfully Nintendo took notice
and began to port the game into English so we can enjoy the fun too!

I was curious as to how it's wacky Japanese characteristics would be translated into an English version
and I was a little worried they may be toned down for the new market...

But thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case! All hail the Virtual Boy!

So, on to the game itself!
Nintendo sent me a code to download a digital copy of the the game
(for those that need to know, the digital copy uses 3,391 blocks)

 You start with your blank Island which you can name, I decided to call mine Dream★Land

Then you use your Mii Characters to move yourself, your family and even your friends on to the island!
You can hang out with your favourite movie characters or even date your crush hehe...

 Each Mii is customisable in many new ways
You give them a detailed profile, a specific voice and choose how they interact

Wait.. their voice? Yes!
In Tomodachi Life your Mii's will actually talk to you
You can play with the scales to either match your own vocal traits
Or you can even give them a humorous robot voice!

 
The choices you make will influence your Mii's personality

Above is my Mii "★Spoon" and a description of her personality within the game
I think this is a fairly good representation of myself hehe

And now your Mii is all ready to move in to their new apartment and begin their new Tomodachi Life!
What happens next?
Your Mii's live out their life on your Island with your help
You can feed them, dress them and help them fall in love
The more Mii's you add to your game, the more strange things can happen...

GOODBYE FRIEND

 The unthinkable has happened and I have upgraded from my iPhone 4
If you've been here a while you might know I had quite a few (at last count, 35) cases for my phone
So the thought of upgrading was always difficult for me, I always used to say
"I'll upgrade to the iPhone 8, because technically it should be twice as good!"
 
But here I am, saying goodbye!
Which means I have a butt-ton of my old cases for sale on eBay right now

 Some cases I just have to keep though, they are too special!
I could never part with these special deco cases made by Luxy♥Loli and Cuckoo Couture
They are practically pieces of art hehe, I will treasure them always along with a few others 

You served me well friend, but it was time to move on to shiner and stronger technology

I also now have Siri and I can't wait to abuse it muahaha Ψ(`∇´)Ψ

TOMODACHI LIFE: Week 1 highlights

★HAPPY LAUNCH DAY!★
From today Tomodachi Life is available worldwide

I thought I would celebrate launch day with a little diary of highlights
Wow, so much has happened this week in my Tomodachi Life game, it's so hard to pick things out
Remember you can always keep up to date with daily posts over at my gaming blog Spoon Plays

First of all I'm no longer alone on my island
I've moved in my friend Abi Pop, L from Death Note,
Walter White from Breaking Bad and Marco from Attack on Titan
Quite the mixed up bunch right? It's so fun to move in your friends and favourite characters!


Moving in new Mii's unlocks so much more fun on the island
I've been playing a lot of mini games such as the Pixel Quiz

But I'm not a fan of the Zoom In Quiz...
That's just cheating Mr. White!!

I've also had my fair share of the games infamous weird dreams
Ranging from L finding his red string of fate is tied to a Rubber Duck, to almost being trapped under a hat!
 
That was a close one!

I'd have to say one of the most memorable moments has to be when I confessed my love to Marco!
 
I decided to let him know via song on the beach
Afterwards there was a long and awkward silence, then Marco said... "sure"
It was so cringe worthy, but I guess it worked? Haha

It's been a while since I made a Strapya World purchase
But I have a new phone to decorate and it seemed like a logical place to get started hehe

First up my Sailor Moon case with Luna and Artemis
This is most adorable case I've ever seen!
I've noticed this semi-transparent frosted style is popular at the moment for iPhone 5
and it works really well here to create a pretty night sky for the kitty silhouettes

I was also surprised to see this case was even in stock
it seems to be sold out or on back order everywhere else!

Melty Heart Earphone Jack accessory
This is much pinker than I expected it to be, but it's still really sweet ♥

I was never a big fan of the iPhone 5's headphone port being at the bottom
But being able to use cute dangling charms has really helped turn me around hehe

(I didn't get my Kuromi case from Strapya but it is available there!)

Sailor Moon Luna Earphone Jack accessory
I thought it would be a cute match for my Luna and Artemis case!
I've seen a few Sailor Moon phone plugs but never a Luna before, so this was a pleasant surprise to find
She is a little chunky as she is double sided (the back is just her back though and is plain)

Strapya really caters for my love of hilarious and golden poops! How could I resist?!

I used EMS shipping for my order and damn, I forgot just how fast it is
I placed my order on Friday afternoon and it was here by 8am Monday... pure wizardry!!

KAWAII BOX

Hey everyone! ヾ(｡´┏з┓`)ﾉ
Recently I tried out Kawaii Box, a monthly subscription box service
Packed full of cuteness from Japan and Korea, it promises 10-12 handpicked items a month

 I placed my order for a box in May so I was to receive the June Box
It took around 2 weeks to arrive and I was also provided a tracking number which was reassuring

and here is what was inside!
 10 wonderfully Kawaii items: Pink Lace Shoelaces, Food Stickers, Deco Rhinestone Sticker
Pink Moustache Ring, Pill Box Keyring, Polka Dot Comb, KoRilakkuma Strap
Kokeshi Doll Pen, Octopus Plush Keychain and Strawberry Pocky!

For me personally the pièce de résistance of this box was the Octopus Keychain
It is so cute I could cry haha, I love all things Octopus related and this has really stole my heart ♥
Everything else is absolutely adorable and all things I know I will get use out of too
I was especially please to see that the Rhinestone Sticker Sheet covers an iPhone 5 case too
So I'm looking forward to making my own funky deco case soon ♪

GOING UNDERGROUND

 I wouldn't say I'm a techno-phobe, but when tablets and iPads first started to be released
I never thought they would catch on, I thought the technology was already easily available in phones
and anything else they wanted to do, they could do it on a laptop or PC they already owned
But these days I feel like most households have at least one tablet product and mine is no exception

Recently we adorned our iPad with a lovely case featuring a map of the London Underground
I always had a huge fear of using the underground, but last year I visited London twice
and I soon overcame my fear and I also find the maps super easy to navigate

I was also please that Lambeth North squeezed into the map at the bottom
as that's the tube station nearest to my hotel and Lambeth is my unofficial Southern Home hehe

I don't know why, but I really enjoy looking at how blog layouts translate to the iPad

As you can see from the flip cover, it's the kind that you can fold to create a stand for your iPad
Though for some reason I can never get it to work and I almost catapult the thing in the air!

TOMODACHI LIFE

So much can happen in a week on Tomodachi Life
I've had weddings, break ups, children and octopus based beauty tips...


Naturally I've had a lot of people asking me about this game and wether or not they should buy it
Tomodachi Life is definitly one of those games where it's entertainment value lies on a personal level
All Mii's involved are your own choice, you can have your friends or even South Parks Kanye West
 
♪ Now I got my wish 'cause I know that I'm a gay fish ♪

As the game applies it's wackiness and diaglogue to these characters,
you see them coming from the people themselves
You can go with the grain as much as you want
but the game is bound to throw in a curve ball or two and it's results can be hilarious...
 
 Who knew that Marco of Attack on Titan would love Breaking Bad's Mr. White?
and who knew that I apparently hide dog poop in my room?!


So, is Tomodachi Life worth buying?
Absolutely, it's possibilities and entertainment are truely endless
The skies the limit and if that's not enough then just rocket your Mii in to space via their favourite food
